By accepting to work on small transactions involving small parties on each side we try to fill the gap left by the large players.

We bring our extended experience in large sustainable projects to the service of clients worldwide in numerous sectors.
We originate, structure and, with our arranging capacity, one of the largest on the Swiss export financing market, we arrange financing for large projects. Our aim is to ensure that such services remains available for the Swiss industry, and at the same time that SMEs have access to such deals as sub-suppliers.

With over 30 years of experience in export financing, including 14 years within the banking sector (at institutions such as Crédit Lyonnais, Calyon, Crédit Agricole, and Credit Suisse), Jérôme brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Founder of Xport Finance AG in 2017 and of BPD International GmbH in 2020, he is passionate about driving business growth and fostering strategic partnerships in the cross-border lending sector.

Erik Böhmer

Erik has 30 years of experience in the banking industry, and spent the last 15 years specializing in structuring and executing Structured Trade Finance- and Export Financing transactions as well as Project Financing. In summer 2023 Erik joined BPD to immediately play a key role in the large and complex transactions. Indeed, his expertise, honed during his tenure at Credit Suisse AG, makes him a valuable asset in navigating complex financial landscapes.

Oleksandr brings 15 years of experience to BPD, with a strong background in trading and agriculture project financing. As the head of the credit department at UkrLandFarming, he has successfully navigated the complexities of financial management in the agricultural sector including management of large portfolio and due diligence process.

Serkan Aldirmaz

Serkan, an independent professional based in Istanbul, brings to the team his 20 years of experience in trading activities and a deep network in the private Turkish corporate sector. Serkan enables BPD to position itself in numerous infrastructure projects as well as with Turkish companies importing or exporting equipment and services. His role extends beyond borders as the representative of BPD also in neighbouring countries.

Jean-Claude Baur

Since over 30 years Jean-Claude excels in driving companies operating in the challenging environments of the food processing industry. After 25 years as engineer and manager at Bühler, in Switzerland, Philippines, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, acting as managing director for various regions, Jean-Claude played a key managerial role in various large groups based in Singapore, Sudan, Tanzania and Nigeria. Today Jean-Claude brings his invaluable international experience in engineering, management and procurement into BPD to boost the development of BPD’s Food Security related activities.

Senior banker with 36 years of experience with focus on financing of international trade and projects at leading players like Unicredit, West Merchant Bank, WesLB and Credit Suisse in sectors comprising Industrials, Merchant Shipping, Cruising, Commercial Aviation, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Satellites and Infrastructures (bridges, airports, railways, ports, roads and hospitals). Giovanni’s expertise in origination, structuring and execution of transactions in Trade Finance (Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees), Supplier’s Credits, Forfaiting, Buyer’s Credits (backed by all major European and Asian ECAs and PRIs) and Project Finance enhances BPD’s arranging capacities.
